The Great Divide

This image shows Clear Lake on the right of the land and South Lake on the left. South Lake is not known to many but is mostly land locked and a hive of aquatic activity. Motor boats do not have access and it is very pristine, but bubbling with tadpoles, water lily, cat tails and so much more growth. It is very different than its neighbor, Clear Lake. Depending on the height of water on the lake, there can be a small connection for a few feet in this area throughout the summer. I fyou want to enjoy a great hike, start at the main boat launch area and go west along the lake on this path. It eventually leads to the church camps and more.
